Study Guide For World War II Test

If you are interested in improving your grade, do not ignore this study guide. Complete it before the review so that you can have your questions ready!
1. Compare the roles of Germany and Japan during World War II. Generally speaking, were their aggressions fundamentally similar or fundamentally different?

2. How and why was Germany allowed to annex Austria and the Sudetenland? Was there any justification for Britain and France’s policy of appeasement?

3. Discuss the role that Italy played in World War II. How did the nation become involved in the conflict? How did its participation affect the direction of the war and Germany’s fortunes?

4. Discuss the issues surrounding the United States’ decision to use atomic bombs against Japan. What motives were behind this action, and what arguments have been made against it?

5. Explain how the situation in Europe immediately following the fall of Germany led directly to the Cold War.

MIDTERM PROJECT

These are the guidelines for your midterm project.

Objective:

Create a visual presentation incorporating important dates that you have learned in this class...

Use your technological resources as much as you can.. The sky is the limit. Have fun with it. Make it interesting.. Create something that you would enjoy listening to.

Form a group, name it, and assign one person to email me with the names of each member.

I am here for you, if you need equipment let me know. If you have a question I am only an email, fb message, or tweet away. The only dumb question is an unspoken question. Give me at least 3 daytime hours to respond. DO NOT EXPECT to email me at 12:00 a.m. and have answer by 3:00 a.m. ;) It may happen but it's not likely!

Welcome Students!!

Welcome to HIGH SPEED HISTORY!!

I hope that you had an awesome summer and are ready for a wonderful year!! I sure am..

Did you know History can be fun?? I bet that for 90% of you History is your least favorite subject. Isn't it? Don't worry you won't hurt my feelings..

Please be honest when you take your intro-survey. You are not going to be graded on your opinion, this is your chance to voice it! Everything you tell me in your survey is confidential. If you have trouble reading (I need to know).. If you don't have a computer at home (I need to know)...etc.. In order for me to provide the best learning experience possible, I need to know where you are coming from.

We have lots to do so let's not waist time.

Here we go!
Your Missions to COMPLETE, no later than Friday, Aug. 17, are as follows:

First: I need your survey completed ASAP. It is very important that I know how many of you have internet at home. I also need to know what communication device you use the most frequently.

Second: Make sure that you have a GMAIL account created. Email me once you have created your account. LGipson816@gmail.com

Third: I need your release forms signed by your parents, stating that it is ok for you to use the internet at school. We can not get started until these three steps are complete.

P.S. The first 10 people to complete all three missions will get 5 points added to their first project grade. This also means that everyone who has not completed all three missions by Friday will get 5 points deducted from their first project grade. It's that important!
